The consumption during the use of dental mobile phones, combined with the impact of high-temperature sterilization and improper operation, often leads to various problems with dental mobile phones. In fact, some problems can be avoided or doctors and nurses can solve them themselves. Recently, our company has experienced severe personnel turnover, coupled with a large amount of maintenance, resulting in a serious backlog. In order not to delay everyone's use, we will summarize and share common problems with everyone, and everyone will try to solve them. If not, they will be sent to us for repair. It can save outpatient expenses and reduce our workload.
1. Do not rotate after high-temperature sterilization.
Before high-temperature sterilization, oil should be added to the phone to protect the bearings. However, some mobile phone oils may have solid residues after high-temperature evaporation, which can stick the ball bearings, inner and outer rings, and retainer together because the torque of pneumatic phones is small and cannot make the bearings rotate. At this point, first add oil to the phone to dissolve the dry grease, then install a larger diameter car needle. Rotate the car needle left and right by hand, gradually increasing the rotation amplitude until it rotates smoothly. Then install it onto the phone tube, press the foot pedal and use air to drive the phone to discharge the residue, and then inject new oil to use it normally. High speed mobile phones, low-speed straight phones, low-speed bending machines, and root canal mobile phones can all be solved this way. The low-speed motor needs to be connected to a straight head for assistance because the connecting shaft is not exposed. The straight head is equipped with a large grinding head, and turning the grinding head by hand can drive the rotor component to rotate. Low speed motors are difficult to remove oil stains due to their internal structure, requiring a large amount of oil injection and repeated flushing.
2. After high-temperature sterilization, the needle cannot be clamped (press type mobile phone).
The pressing and clamping axis of high-speed mobile phones is very small and precise, and the clamping component is reset by a spring. When encountering the accumulation of solidified grease or other dirt, or due to high-temperature metal rust, the clamping component cannot return to its original position by the force of the spring. At this point, you should hold down the back cover, use cleaning lubricant to align with the car needle hole and inject oil for cleaning, then repeatedly press the back cover, inject oil for cleaning, and then repeatedly press. Most phones can be repaired by repeating the above steps. Some phones, such as NSK and SIRONA phones, can be equipped with a car needle. Use the front end of the car needle to slightly press against a hard object to help the clamping component return to its original position, then repeat the steps of pressing, pushing back, oiling and cleaning, and repeatedly pressing the back cover. The pressing clamp shafts of high-speed mobile phones, low-speed bending machines, planting mobile phones, root canal mobile phones, etc. need to be regularly lubricated and cleaned.
3. Planting mobile phones cannot remove needles.
When the needle hole is too large or the needle is irregular, this situation is prone to occur, especially when some needles with chamfered edges on the side of the semi-circular section at the top of the needle cannot be removed. The solution is to install the machine head onto the motor (using the resistance of the motor, otherwise the needle will drive the movement to rotate), clamp the needle with a needle holder or pliers, and rotate it in the opposite direction of rotation when the needle is stuck, with an angle of about 15 °~30 °. If there is a gap in the movement of the needle, press the back cover to remove it.
4. The high-speed mobile phone spray is abnormal.
The cooling water for high-speed mobile phones is atomized by the action of air, which means that the cooling water and cooling air must be turned on simultaneously and adjusted in combination. Cooling gas is called atomization gas on dental chairs, and some dental chairs are labeled as blowing debris gas. Most dental chairs have a separate knob for atomizing air, placed next to the water volume knob. Many dentists mistakenly turn the water button up or down. When the water on the phone sprays out in a columnar shape or atomizes poorly, it is necessary to turn on or turn on the cooling air slightly. When it looks foggy but has a sticky taste when grinding teeth, the water volume should be increased and the atomization air should be reduced. Cooling air must be present, but it cannot be opened too much. When the water splashes heavily during tooth grinding, it indicates that the atomization air has been increased. The easiest way to adjust is to first turn off the atomization gas and let the phone run, then turn on the water and keep the phone running. Slowly turn on the atomization gas and let the airflow just atomize the water. Nowadays, many high-speed mobile phones use multi-point spraying, where the water and atomization gas are mixed in the water jacket of the phone. If the atomization gas is turned on too much, it will push the water back and cause the phone to not release water. So when you use a multi-point spray phone that doesn't produce water, you need to first reduce the atomization air.
5. Water pipe jet of low-speed motor.
Low speed motors are divided into two types: internal and external water channels, some are spray mist, and some are single spray water. What we're talking about here is the drain phone. The most common ones on the market are NSK styles, with a protruding water pipe interface above the interface. The atomization trachea and water pipe of this mobile phone are connected inside the interface. In the past, some low-speed dental chairs could turn off the atomization gas separately, but now dental chairs basically share the same atomization gas knob for low-speed and high-speed. When using high-speed mobile phones, everything is normal, and when using low-speed mobile phones, it will spray from the water pipe. At this point, turn off the atomization gas to stop spraying, but remember to turn it on after use, otherwise the water will not atomize when using at high speed. Previously, when we installed the dental chair, we would tie up the low-speed cooling air duct to avoid this problem. Later, because we didn't know what kind of low-speed phone the customer would buy. Some low-speed phones used atomized air, while others rarely used low-speed and only used high-speed. Considering the diverse needs of the customer, the cooling air duct was not blocked. If you fix this mobile phone tube and install it at low speed, it is recommended to tie the nebulizer tube. 6. The return cylinder under the instrument tray is leaking water or oil.
Compressed air drives the operation of the phone, and the air flowing out is connected to the gas cylinder under the instrument tray through the phone's return pipe for discharge. The exhaust hole of the gas cylinder is located on the side of the bottle, inside which cotton or sponge is placed. The function of the gas cylinder is to reduce the noise of the gas injection from the return pipe and absorb excess mobile phone oil. The gas cylinder needs to be regularly cleaned and replaced with cotton or sponge. A normally used dental chair gas cylinder will not discharge water unless there are several situations: ① the phone is not tightened, ② the four hole pad on the phone interface is lost, ③ the internal water pipe and return pipe of the phone are both broken, and ④ the internal water pipe of the phone is detached. The probability of the third situation occurring is extremely low, so please check items ①, ③, and ④ when there is a leakage in the gas cylinder.
7. The problem with connecting the dental chair to the sandblasting gun.
There are many clinics that use gun type sandblasting machines and simple desktop sandblasting machines, collectively referred to as sandblasting guns. When the sandblasting gun is in operation, the sand powder tank and pipeline are filled with compressed air. When stopping, due to the small aperture of the nozzle, it is difficult to empty the air in the sand powder tank and pipeline for a while. At this point, the gas will carry sand powder and be discharged through the dental chair foot valve through the mobile phone tube. The sand powder that cannot be discharged remains in the dental chair pipeline. When using high-speed and low-speed mobile phones, the sand powder enters the interior of the bearings, impellers, rotors, etc. of the high-speed and low-speed mobile phones, causing damage to the phone. There is also sand powder sticking to the impeller, causing corrosion of the impeller. We found that many clinics had sand and powder impurities inside their phones while repairing them. The bearings were not significantly damaged but the rotation was stuck, which was caused by sand and powder entering the bearings. When repairing dental chairs that often use sandblasting guns, it is often found that the inner wall of the trachea is covered with sand powder. So it is recommended that everyone use sandblasting guns with caution. If necessary, it is best to designate a separate dental chair for use. It's really not possible to specify a mobile phone tube for use. There is really no way to use the phone after using the sandblasting gun. Please step on your foot and spray for a while before using it. Remember! Some people may say that our sandblasting gun has a check valve, but that's just a so-called check valve and doesn't have much effect.
8. Misunderstandings in ultrasonic cleaning of mobile phones.
Many manufacturers and distributors promote that phones cannot be cleaned with ultrasonic waves, but my opinion is different. As for whether to use them, you don't need to make your own judgment. The principle of ultrasonic cleaning is to use the high-frequency vibration generated by the ultrasonic generator to drive water to vibrate at the same frequency, thereby producing a scouring effect. There is currently no good way to clean the dirt inside the mobile phone tube except for ultrasonic cleaning and disassembly cleaning. I think the correct operation will not cause harm to the phone: ① When using ultrasonic cleaning, do not let the phone come into contact with the inner wall of the cleaning tank. It should be placed in the randomly provided basket for cleaning. ② It is best to use distilled water or deionized water for cleaning, and neutral detergent or cleaning enzymes can be added to improve the cleaning effect If the water is dirty after cleaning, it is recommended to clean it repeatedly. After cleaning, there will be a large amount of water in the phone tube, and it must be dried with an air gun before disinfection and sterilization.
